Michael Davey
Dr Michael Davey was raised in 4 state-run institutions. He was kidnapped by his real father, who desperately wanted his son back, but when he was reunited with his family Michael was beaten repeatedly by his mother, who was violently schizophrenic. To escape his mother’s violence and neglect, Michael escaped to join the Navy when he was just 15. After years of suffering depression and anxiety, Michael went on to study and is now a scientist and a teacher with a PhD, and a loving family of his own. Michael’s self-published memoir is called Journey of Hope.
